The place that you need to be getting should depend on the job that you have. You cannot be staying a very luxurious place when you cannot afford it. It is also very ideal for you to get a place that is near to your place of work. In that way, you will be saving on gas and time. Check the newspaper for ads and ask around, maybe someone knows of an apartment that you can rent.

When you have already gotten a place to rent, you can then start to officially move. Furniture and appliances are necessities but you do not need to buy them all at once. You can buy an item every payday. Check for a good bargain. Your bed, dining table, refrigerator and stove, those are some things you would need immediately. Some furniture store offer discounts on their old models. Be alert and check them out.

You need to save as much as you can since you are still starting to live independently. Buy your needs first before your wants. As much as possible, avoid using your credit cards. If you use your credit card, you do not notice how much you have actually spent. Not like when you use cash, when you run out of cash, you stop spending. But if you actually need to use the credit card, pay for it in full at your next due date. This way, you will not have to pay for the very big interest.

Before you know it, you will be able to save money and you can buy the things you actually want. After you have established your finances, then you can go ahead and buy more stuff for your own place.
